Cultural heritage resources are described as: records, manuscripts, special collections, photographs, audio/visual materials, art & artifacts, sculpture & statuary, historic sites & buildings, and parks & landscapes. A wealth of institutions has custody of our cultural heritage resources including public buildings, libraries, archives, museums, historical societies, historic sites & buildings, cemeteries, and places of worship. The collections in these institutions can be valuable, vulnerable, rare, unique and irreplaceable.
NH Connecting to Collections is an Institute of Museum & Library Services grant funded project that will bring together information about NH’s cultural collections into one online resource. Online surveys are being sent to libraries, museums and archives requesting topical descriptions of their collections. Browse the survey results using the links to the right.
